March 23 – Soft and airy Colomba di Pasqua Easter cakes and Uova di Pasqua – large Italian chocolate eggs.
The Colomba cakes are slowly leavened like panettone and finished with a crunchy almond and sugar topping. Shaped like a dove, they symbolize peace. Alongside the classic flavor, popular variations include pear-chocolate and chocolate-pistachio!
The cakes and beautifully packaged chocolate eggs are both showstoppers on the Easter table and a delightful gift.

7.10.25 The Season of Fresh Autumn and Alba White Truffles
The season of fresh Italian autumn truffles (Tuber uncinatum) and exquisite Alba white truffles (Tuber magnatum Pico) has arrived. Their unmistakable aroma and delicate flavour bring a touch of luxury to every table.
Fresh truffles arrive every week by Wednesday. If you’d like a larger quantity or want to make sure they’re available, we recommend placing a pre-order. You’re always welcome to drop by as well – check our blackboard outside for the latest updates on what’s just arrived.
We pack the truffles in paper bags, but if you plan to use them a little later, it’s best to store them in a sealed glass jar, wrapped in kitchen paper and kept in the fridge.
For more tips on how to handle truffles – and a recipe for e.g. a perfect truffle risotto – come visit us on Tehtaankatu!
